			Division Coordination
- Identifying and Managing Coaches
 Identifying
and tracking coaches is a major headache for a division coordinator. And since
families often have multiple children playing in different divisions, it is
difficult to know which parents are currently volunteering elsewhere. WebYouthSoccer
can help. It provides a tool to help in managing your coaches, confirming
them and exposing this data to fellow coordinators. Now as you search the
prospects list, you can quickly identify those who are already coaching in
    other divisions. Identifying

- You're still short coaches. WebYouthSoccer can help you locate good candidates by showing you the parents in your division who have coached before, when and which division they coached, even family feedback on the coach. Still short? WebYouthSoccer will display those who have coached before and if their child was registered, would be playing in your division. Maybe a phone call can get you another player and a coach.
 Player
statistics for each team are available to the coordinator. This allows the
coordinator to monitor how well a coach is abiding by the AYSO tenets of everyone
plays as well as controlling blowouts, if your region has policies on this.
This data is available to both the coordinator and the coach on a real-time
basis. So nobody is kept in the dark. The coordinator can tell percentage
playing time for each player, quarters in goal, goals scored, etc. Players
who are currently outside the standards established by your region are flagged
    for quick identification. Player

- Team Formation
- WebYouthSoccer can do the majority of the work involved in team formation. It can be configured to generate teams by the previous year's evaluations, all past evaluations for a player, geographic weighting or purely random. These criteria are specified on a per-division basis, meaning you can use different criteria for forming U16 teams than you do for U6. Of course the coordinator can choose to do manual formation as well.
- As soon as the teams are formed and the board has approved them, the coordinator can push a button to make coach information and rosters available to both parents and coaches. Again, saving the Registrar and/or the coordinator from those continuous phone calls from parents regarding the status of their team.
- Team Evaluations
 Coaches
and assistant coaches can work with their evaluations online throughout the
season. The goal being that the evaluations will be more than a last-minute
thought. But we have to be honest and recognize that most evaluations are
still going to be filed at the last minute. And most coaches will rate their
players in the context of their team rather than how their players relate
to the other players in the region. Not to worry. You have a tool to help
you analyze the coaches evaluations with respect to how the team finished
the season and the DC can supply a value to skew the coach's evaluation to
normalize them with respect to the entire division. Coaches

- The better the data pushed forward, the better job we do on team formation the next year.
