WebYouthSoccer

Life before WebYouthSoccer...

Most regions have a single computer that holds their regional database of players and volunteers. Reports are generated and distributed to those who need the data, division coordinators for team formation, volunteer coordinator for lining up volunteers for picture day, etc. So everyone has their own mini-copy of the database which they alter and make their own. Of course the data is stale as soon as it was given to them.

Life with WebYouthSoccer...

WebYouthSoccer solves this problem by keeping all the regional data in a central database and exposing views to the different users. When the registrar gives a stack of registration forms to a parent for entry they show up in the division commissioners waiting list as soon as they are keyed in. A mother can see that her child is officially registered and that team formation is in progress. The registrar can use the database to send targeted e-mail to all parents with children who played last year but have not been registered yet this year.

Every person in the database has certain privileges. Since the database also handles your board lists and regional calendar, it can grant privileges based on board positions. Every user must authenticate before entering the site and in doing so allow us to custom tailor a user interface for that person. When a coach enters the site, he will be presented with different views and options than a team parent going to the same URL.

Multiple security models are supported to meet your region's requirements.

Different regions can be combined into groups to allow inter-region scheduling of games and referees. This is most commonly used to group regions into an area but it doesn't have to be.
